In order to begin the ngondro or Nectar of the Path practice, you need to have received the appropriate transmissions, the lung (reading transmission), wang (empowerment), and tri (practice instructions) in-person. Also, to practice ngondro or Nectar of the Path in Tergar's Path of Liberation program, you need to have been at a Path of Liberation retreat and received pointing out instructions from Mingyur Rinpoche or Khenpo Kunga.
