What is the Path of Liberation?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 12:48 PM

The Path of Liberation is an experiential path of meditation for those who wish to practice the Buddhist teachings under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Building on the foundations of the Joy of Living and drawing on the most important practices of the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages, it presents meditation techniques from the Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions.

There are two tracks, each suited to different circumstances:

  • Nectar of the Path — based on a short practice liturgy written by Mingyur Rinpoche, designed for those with roughly 30–60 minutes for daily practice.
  • Ngondro track — based on the traditional ngondro liturgy “The Chariot for Traveling the Noble Path,” best for those who can practice between one and two hours each day.

Both tracks culminate in the practice of a White Tara sadhana written by Mingyur Rinpoche, “Radiance of the Heart.” You can find dedicated support for Path of Liberation students in the top menu under “Path of Liberation.”
